Way back in the spring of 2016, Jump In was created with the wonderful Next Reflex Dance Collective. At it's core, 'Jump In' is about relationships. 'PCO' is making new friends, the innocence of positive first impressions. 'Interrupted by Dinosaurs' explores childhood connections, best friends, inclusion, exclusion. 'In Order To Find the Light' dives into the loneliness of the human condition, and the deep desire for connection. 'The Wall' is a meditation on embracing your true self. Finally, 'Life Doesn't Frighten Me' is all about the complexity of acceptance, both inward and outward. The work was loosely inspired by a poem by Maya Angelou.
